Two long-time Mac users from Texas have turned an old Mac SE 30 into a piece of drug paraphernalia known as a "bong". The bong is used in smoking marijuana. Once again, Apple Computer has made breaking the law just a little easier. A while back, Slashdot was carrying an article about Macintosh's "easy-to-use" products, and how they facilitated the piracy of software. Apple's defense? They claim they aren't to blame because of a sticker put on the iPod warning against piracy. However, it is notable that Apple Computer was negligent in putting a "Do not turn your Mac into a bong" sticker on its older models of Macs.
Not only are most Macintosh users smokers of marijuana, but most of the designers of the Macintosh platform are potheads as well, according to the Wired News article. "There is a strong connection between Macs and pot. Both are countercultures, in the loosest sense of the word, appealing to people who are creative or artistic, people who, as a particular ad campaign might say, 'Think different.'", states the Wired Article.
Many reputable journalists and former Apple engineers have confirmed this folklore regarding illegal activities at Apple. Based on these testimonials, the connection between Apple Macintosh computers and pot is clearly established. If that's not enough evidence, consider the goofy smile of the MacOS mascot, or the multi-colored Apple logo. Check the entire article here.
So remember: When you buy a Mac, or use a Mac, you are supporting illegal drug use.

DISCLAIMER: I don't hate Macs. In fact, I convince people to use them all the time. I just couldn't resist the chance to poke fun.
