Well, we reported about this woman twice before. As a refresher, Rancho Bernardo High Assistant Principal Rita Wilson was conducting underwear inspections at a school dance in order to prevent 'freak dancing' by making sure everyone's underwear was appropriate. This, of course, is clear sexual harassment(ironically, she was quoted as saying "Sexual assault offenses can happen inadvertently or deliberately at dances. It's my job to provide a safe environment."), and as a result of myriad complaints, proceedings were initiated against her and the guidance counselor who was helping her.

After a while's wait, the results are in, and Rita Wilson will not be fired. Nope, thanks to a thing called tenure, Rita will not lose her job in the school district, but will instead be demoted and offered a teaching position at another school. You see, tenure prevents teachers from being fired for pretty much anything short of murder if they have been teaching long enough to acquire it. Natalie Johnson, the guidance counselor, also has tenure, so nothing is being done to her either.

Fortunately, Rita is considering refusing her new job, so she may not be in an authority position at a school anymore anyway. Unfortunately, that won't be because the school board did the right thing.
