12 year old Danica Lesko has been threatened with suspension from school if she doesn't stop signing on the bus. Her hearing was damaged at her school when a student set off a bottle rocket in a hallway.

According to the school, her signing was "causing a disturbance on the bus" although the principal couldn't explain exactly how signing would be causing a disturbance. The transportation office had no comment.

While we don't have all the details, what probably happened is an ignorant redneck bus driver saw the girl signing and didn't know what it was she was doing, probably saying something like "quit all that there figitin' around!"
