In February, we did an article about Dr Pepper upsetting the AFA because of their can design. To summarize it, Dr Pepper put "One nation... indivisible" on their cans. Of the three words they choose to put on their cans, two of them weren't "under God". Something about a 12-year-old girl getting upset because Satan is taking over Dr Pepper writing a letter to the AFA, then all of the sudden AFA is issuing their "Action Alerts" and Dr Pepper is getting thousands of complaints.
The recent ruling about the Pledge has sent fundies into a fit about this all over again, and the problem is still causing people to complain to Dr Pepper. In July, an email began circulating among paranoid fundies, reviving the hassle for Dr Pepper. Keep in mind that Dr Pepper retired the can in late February.
Gee, I wonder where they got the silly idea to send around thousands of emails to solve problems. I'm looking right at what this article calls, "a religious organization in Mississippi".
