Gay-hating U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) is back in the news...again.

You may remember that Mr. Santorum likened gay sex to bigamy, polygamy, and incest, and made a strong insinuation that gay sex is not unlike "man on dog" and "man on child" sex.

Gay rights groups, seeking an apology from Mr. Santorum for his hateful comments, have asked to meet Santorum over the past couple weeks to find out if he has any humanity in him.

He doesn't.

Mr. Santorum agreed to meet with some members of Parents & Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) to discuss his comments. Needless to say, he was unapologetic:

"What we tried to do in this meeting was to reach him on a human level, and we found no humanity there," commented Melina Waldo. "[He was] condescending, belligerent, argumentative, and arrogant." And this is coming from a Republican...

Having presumptively told the parents that he believes their children are going to hell, Mr. Santorum attempted to rush out of the room, but ended up tripping over a chair in his effort to flee.

Perhaps this should be a lesson to Mr. Santorum: If you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything at all and maybe you will spare yourself the embarrassment of clumsily tripping over something.
