Oh, those wacky Europeans.

Today's little look into the Land of Questionable Thought Processes starts with Italian winemaker, Andrea Lunardelli, who is producing a series of wine with famous European historical figures on the labels. Che Guevara, Churchhill, Napolean... Adolf Hitler?

Yes, Hitler wine. Apparently designed exclusvely for the German market too. I suspect a certain someone slept through any marketing classes they took. And never bought the books, instead opting to use the money to get drunk and/or stoned. And came up with this idea while drunk and/or stoned. Because I have trouble grasping how a rational thought process could lead to "Hey, let's sell wine with Hilter's face on it to Germans!" It's the Maginot Line of alcohol.

Interestingly, it actually sells -- I'm not sure how much, but it sells enough for the German government to ask Italy if the wine violates an EU resolution. It's probably illegal under German law too, given that they ban Nazi insignia and symbology.

One thing's for sure, at least. Now it's even easier to invoke Godwin's Law in bar fights.
