I'm all for free speech, but perhaps the Glassport Assembly of God should have warned the people that came to see their Easter performance that their show wasn't appropriate for small children. After all, if I had kids, I don't think I would want them to see the Easter Bunny getting whipped and a vivid depiction of the crucifixion of Christ.

The church claimed that it wanted to illustrate that Easter is about Christ and not the Easter Bunny, but I disagree with their methodology. Somehow I can't see how pulling an S and M act will teach people that the Easter Bunny isn't the reason for Easter.

I hope the parents got their children out of there as quick as they could.

The beautiful irony about Easter as most recognize it today is that it comes from a pagan worship of the fertility God(dess)Ester and rabits happen to be very fertile, so they were adopted as the mascott.

Or maybe the fundies found out, and that's why they were torturing the bunnies.

Just hope those poor kids don't get the idea it's o.k. to torture and hurt bunnies and other animals.I'm sick of hearing that TV violence makes kids become criminals. Now I'm thinking we should be looking at religion as a reason kids go mad!

These are kids for God's sake! If this church has any common sense(which I seriously doubt) it would held a peaceful family-oriented Easter Egg hunt not showing masochism and torture to prove a point that most people already know! And yet these are the type of folks that piss and whine about violent video games and sexual content. What the hell was wrong with these people?
