The Walt Disney Company is planning to release a documentary this weekend, called America's Heart and Soul. This movie a moving compilation of touching scenes from American life, that(and I have seen the trailer) looks straight out of a nauseating Bush campaign ad.

Now, Disney says they are not trying to make a political statement with this movie, though its released, coinciding with a film Disney refused to release, Fahrenheit 9-11, leaves that open to speculation. And we have all heard the phrase "Actions Speak Louder Than Words" and the fact that the conservative group, Move America Forward was invited to a prescreening of the show, who praised the movie "unlike the negative and misleading story line of Michael Moore's 'Fahrenheit 9/11.'"

Melanie Morgan, KSFO-AM host and vice president of Move America Forward:

"I'm encouraging people to see it, but it would be a different thing if the movie is under attack," and "But if I perceive a direct frontal launch on it, then we'll definitely fight back."

Dennis Rice, head of publicity for Walt Disney Studios:

"We want everybody to see our movie," and . "By definition, it has to be seen as a nonpartisan approach. We are not teamed up with anyone, let alone Move America Forward. We just want our movie to be seen in its purest form."

Pat Farrerro, Professor San Francisco State University:

"I would argue it's incredibly political, I don't believe that documentaries are truthful. Their goal is not to tell the truth. Their goal is to make you think."

And of course Michael Moore has chimed in on his own website.

"Disney joining forces with the right wing kooks who have come together to attempt to censor Fahrenheit 9/11 must mean that Dumbo is now in charge of the company's strategic decisions."

Take this anyway you want to, I am not here to tell you want to think, and I am absolutely positive that Michael Moore will blow the WAY out of proportion, to get more attention for his own movie, and kudos to him, but doesn't this just seem the slightest bit fishy?
