I know this isn't exactly a news story, but I think this blasts the word "moron" up to epic proportions, so it needs information on this. Just today, I was searching through Livejournal's most recent posts for fun, and I discovered this. No, that's not the real Jessica Biel, but a impersonator practicing under some incredibly bizarre Role Playing Game. Under the RPG, Entitlted Be a Celeb, LJ users can pretend to be their favorite celebrities. This bizarrity is insane and those who partake in it should get a psychological evaluation
"Celebrities" who are partaking in this include mainstream figures such as "Hillary Duff" and "Mandy Moore" to relative unknowns such as "Mila Kunis", but incidentally, no political celebrity such as Ann Coulter, Al Franken or Michael Moore are anywhere to be found, but I'll get to a solution to that a little later. How sick can this go? These people ACTUALLY think they are the celbrity they are impersonating, or at least, that's the mindset. They are acting as if they were the individual themself. Thank god I found the "DISCLAIMER" text hidden on the personal website, or I would have actually been fooled. I sorta got suspicious after seeing "Hillary Duff's" Journal, though. You can see a list of "celebrities" here.
It gets better. There's also rules that the "celebrities"
must follow. However, one rule I like, (and the AFA would
like,) is the marriage rule. According
to the Rules, first of all, "You may have characters date,
however we do ask that you do this realistically, meaning,
they don't say "I love you" two minutes after they start
dating, and when they break up, don't go to someone else and
say "I love you" once you get together with them ... not
realistic!"
Look, I'm really sorry for repeat use of a parliamentary
debate term, but POINT OF INFORMATION:Since
when was a "realistic" celebrity relationship more then 1
year, or in some cases, 55 hours? However, their marriage rule
truly does support the Sanctity of Marriage.
Engagements must be run through a moderator, and the charactors had to have been dating for a period of at least 2 months. Marriages can take place 3 months after the engagement. If you absolutly must have your character cheat in that amount of time, please keep it to a minimum. Divorces are allowed after 2 months of the marriageNow THAT's real values and real marriage! Yes, you can "marry" in the game, apparantely, furthering the dysfunctional beliefs that this game has. Oh, and if you have a male and female character, they can't date each other. Wow.
Now, since this appears to be a growing trend, why don't we, readers of this fine site, take a round in doing this... as pure SATIRE! Get all of your friends together and register as various political celebrities. Examples include Ann Coulter, Al Franken, Paul Begala, Howard Dean, etc. Use your wit to the fullest and mock them like heck, and don't be afraid to recruit the other "celebrities" into helping you out. Who knows? We might even get this into a story for ourselves and make it all the "celebrities" fight for or against "George W. Bush" or "John Kerry." The possibilities of playing with the bizarre are endless, and so will the fun we have..
