The 9/11 Commission has released their staff statement #10, which details a number of threats and responses or non-responses related to the terrorist attacks on the US in 2001. I've added emphasis to sections I find interesting.

"The U.S. government reiterated on Sunday that the claim that Iraq sought uranium in Africa included in President Bush's State of the Union address was correct and is backed by other information, both American and British."

The CIA had a reference to Iraq's alleged attemped purchase of uranium in Africa stricken from a presidential speech back in October...

Rather than admit that he was wrong in light of a pile of evidence suggesting he should have known better, Bush has found another person to take the blame...
